Functional living for two people with the space to host the extended family; that was the challenge JT Design and Beck Building took into their stride.

Gordon and Denise Knight approached Beck Building as their Taupo Master Builders, and together we generated concepts that were then translated into working drawings by JT Design. We then brought the Knight forever home to life.

This stately home is set across two levels. The upstairs floor features a master bedroom with ensuite and walk-in wardrobe, large open plan kitchen, scullery, dining and living area which all enjoy stunning views of Mt Tauhara and Lake Taupo. Downstairs you will find a further two bedrooms, bathroom, laundry and a man cave made of dreams, featuring a bespoke bar and pool table.

Both the living areas and bar have wide stacking doors that open right up to make the transition from indoor to outdoor spaces seamless.

With a combination of cedar and schist work to clad the home, the finish is gorgeously timeless.
